Otter integration with Foodics will allow you to:

  • Synchronize your Foodics menu with all the different delivery platforms you use, changing menus across multiple systems is no longer necessary.
  • Enable automatic and real-time order ingestion into your POS, there is no need to manually enter orders, reducing errors and costs.
  • Manage your dine-in and delivery businesses through one single platform, with all your data integrated together.
  • You have the ability to monitor your business performance from any PC, tablet, or smartphone by using a web dashboard solution.

Notes About The Integration

  1. The integration supports combos.
  2. Order updates in Foodics will not reflect to Otter, must be updated manually in Otter's Order Manager.

Business Configurations in Foodics

Before enabling the integration, you need to do some configuration in your Foodics account as explained below:

  • Create a Charge in your Foodics account in order to receive delivery orders with the following details:

    • Name: Delivery
    • Type: Amount
    • Is Open Value: Yes
    • Apply this charge on all Order Types & Branches then assign the relevant Tax Group to the charge if applicable. Copy and paste the charge name as Shipping Fees name must be exactly the same otherwise the integration will not work properly.
  • Create an order Tag in Foodics for each channel your Otter account is connected to following the naming prefix Otter - Jahez. Otter will then send the respective channel's order tag to Foodics with each order based on the order channel source.

Enabling The Integration

Note: To be able to use this integration, you must have Otter account. If you dont have an account please contact Otter to register.

  1. Log in to your Foodics console at console.foodics.com/login using the owner email, If you logged in with a non-owner user, you will not be able to activate the integration.

  2. Navigate to the Marketplace page ---> Search for Otter under Ordering Platforms category ---> Click Install.

  3. You will be navigated to Otter merchant panel to enter your Otter Store ID in the relevant field to connect to Foodics. If you don't have a store ID contact Otter to register.

  4. Foodics will ask you to Authorize Otter to access your Foodics Account, click Authorize Otter To Access My Account to Proceed.

  5. If you have more than one branch on Foodics you will get redirected to a page to select the branch from a dropdown list to connect it to your Otter store.

  6. Integration has been enabled successfully.

Menu Sync

Foodics Menu will be synced to Otter by the Otter Onboarding team, please make sure that you have a menu group created. Once the menu is fetched it will be pushed to your connected delivery partners, and any menu updates made after the initial sync will be automatically synced by Otter.

Handling multi-locations: If you need to sync multiple brands or locations, you will not be able to trigger a second visit to the authentication page via the marketplace. In these cases, you need to send the below information from Otter:

  • The authentication link: https://ckdss.eu/foodics/onboard
  • The External Store ID/s for the store/s to be integrated (it’s important to not mix up the store IDs and the branches in Foodics).

Talabat Integration Via Otter

Otter supports Talabat order injection to Foodics, following the below requirments:

  1. The menu will have to be created in the Talabat platform using the exact menu entity names (products, modifier options, combos) as they are in Foodics.
  2. Any updates done to the menu either in Foodics or Talabat will have to be reflected manually in the opposing platform to avoid order injection failure.
  3. When signing up with Talabat make sure to acquire the Talabat order recipient device plus it's credentials to be able to manually accept the order in case of order injection failure.

How to Receive Otter Orders in Foodics Cashier

Otter Orders will be received as explained in the Accept Online Orders Article.

FAQs

Q1: Otter is sending orders to my restaurant but I’m not receiving them in Foodics cashier application

A: Please check the below points

1- Sign in to your Foodics account at console.foodics.com/login, then go to the Orders Page. This page will show you all API orders that are in Pending status

2- Are there any pending orders from Otter?

If Yes:

Make sure you have implemented all needed steps to receive online orders as explained in the Accept Online Orders Article.

In the cashier app, click HOME --> Sync Data

Ask Otter to send new orders to test, orders should be received by the cashier

If No:

There is an issue at Otter's side in sending orders to your Foodics account. Please communicate with Otter and inform them that there are no orders created from Otter in your Foodics account.
