Promotions are a way to attract customers by offering them benefits when they spend or buy a certain number or value of menu items. Promotions can be limited to a certain date period, time period during the day, certain weeekdays, and even order types.
There are 2 types of promotions:
Basic promotions have basic conditions. An example would be a summer sale where all or specific products will have a 20% discount. Advanced promotion have more advanced conditions that should be satisfied to be applied. An example of an Advanced Promotion would be to buy at least 3 out of 5 selected products, and get one product from another list of products discounted at 50%.
Note: Promotions are applied automatically once their condition is met, the cashier does not have to manually apply a promotion.
How to Create a New Promotion
- Click on Manage button on the sidebar.
- Click on Promotions.
- Click on Create Promotion then fill the fields according to your promotion design.
- Click on Save.
How to Limit Promotions to Specific Customers
With Customer tags, you can limit the activation of promotions to certain customers by following these steps:
- Click on Manage button on the sidebar.
- Click on Promotions.
- Click on the promotion name.
- Scroll to the bottom, In
Limit To Custmer Tag
section click on Add Customer Tags button. - Select the needed customer tag. (example VIP Customers)
- Click on Apply.
What is Promotion Priority
The is a number that is used when multiple promotion are active at the same time to decide which promotion should be applied. 1 is the highest priority number, followed by 2, 3, etc.. (The Promotion with the highest priority number will be applied).
- Click on Manage button on the sidebar.
- Click on Promotions.
- Click on promotion name.
- Click on Edit Promotion then enter priority number in Priority field.
- Click on Save.
