You can add discounts to orders before closing the order in the Cashier.

Discount Types

There are 2 types of discounts that can be applied in Foodics Cashier:

1. Open Discounts: An open discount means the amount is determined by the user manually while taking the order. You can choose whether to add an Amount or Percentage discount. For example if you want to add a 50% discount manually to an order: Choose Discount > Percentage > Enter 50.

2. Predefined Discounts: A predefined discount is configured in the console by the manager so other users who are authorized to make discounts can access it in the Cashier.

How to Add a Discount to an Order

In the Cashier Application, prepare the order you want to discount

1. Tap on the Discount button at the top options bar.
2. Select the type of discount as described above in Discount Types.
3. Enter the value in case of the amount and percentage discounts, or select the needed predefined discount name.

If there's a discount already applied, you will see a Clear button you can choose to remove the discount from the order.

Tip: Discounts that appear in the Predefined Discounts section must be Qualified on the Order Level or both Order & Product Level.

How to Add a Discount to a Specific Product

In the Cashier Application, prepare the order you want to discount

1. Access to the product details page by tapping on the product name that is in the order.
2. Tap on Discount from the top options bar.
3. Select the type of discount.
4. Enter the value in case of the amount or percentage discounts, or select the predefined discount name.

If there's a discount already applied, you will see a Clear button you can choose to remove the discount from the order.

How to Use Coupons

There are other ways to give discounts to customers such as using Coupons.

To use a coupon, in the Cashier Application, prepare the order you want to discount and:

1. Tap on More button at the top right corner of the register page.
2. Tap on Add Coupon.
3. Enter the coupon code.
4. Tap on Apply.

If the coupon is valid, the order will be discounted according to the coupon's value.
