Using Kawkab's integration you will be able to:

  • Receive orders from Kawkab to your Foodics cashier.
  • Foodics orders with assigned customers will contribute to Kawkab's loyalty program in the following ways::
    • Giving points to your customers.
    • Allowing your customers to use their points to redeem their rewards.
    • Deducting points from the customer when the customer returns an order.

Business Configuration in Foodics

Before enabling the integration, you need to do some configuration in your Foodics account as explained below:

  • Create a Charge in your Foodics account in order to receive delivery orders with the following details:
    • Name: Delivery
    • Type: Amount
    • Is Open Value: Yes
    • Apply this charge on all Order Types & Branches then assign the relevant Tax Group to the charge if applicable. Copy and paste the charge name as "Kawkab" name must be exactly the same otherwise the integration will not work properly.

Enabling The Integration

  1. Log in to your Foodics console at console.foodics.com/login using the owner email, If you logged in with non owner user, you will not be able to activate the integration.

  2. Navigate to Marketplace page --> Search for Kawkab under Online Ordering category --> Click Install.

  3. You will be directed to Kawkab's portal, enter your credentials then Login. If you don't have an account, contact Kawkab to signup.

  4. Navigate to Settings from the side options bar.

  5. Scroll down to Integration Settings > Click Connect To Foodics.

  6. Foodics will ask you to Authorize Kawkab to access your Foodics Account, click Authorize Kawkab To Access My Account to Proceed.

  7. You will be redirected back to Kawkab's portal click Sync Foodics to add your menu to Kawkab.

  8. Click on Sync Products, your menu will be added to Kawkab after the loading finishes.

  9. Now navigate to Branches in the side options bar.

  10. Create your branches then click on Edit.

  11. Select the Foodics branch to link this Kawkab branch to then click Done & Update.

  12. You have successfully enable & configured the integration.

Menu Sync

Menu updates are automated after the initial manual sync.

Customer Points Earning

Points earning for customers are automated by the integration.

Points earning happens when a customer makes an order at your restaurant.

You must add the customer to the order so that Kawkab can identify the customer and increase his points

When making an order in the cashier, follow the below steps to add a customer to the order:

  1. Create new order
  2. Click ADD CUSTOMER on the top of the left view
  3. Select the customer if pre-registered, or click the + icon to create a new customer
  4. Proceed with the order
  5. Once the order is closed and paid, the customer will receive his points

Customer Points Redeeming

The customer visits one of your branches and informs the cashier that he has kawkab reward and would like to redeem it

The cashier user will do the following:

  1. Create new order
  2. Ask for customer information (name or mobile)
  3. Click ADD CUSTOMER on the top of the left view and add the customer to the order
  4. Click MORE on the top right --> Redeem Reward
  5. If you have more than one loyalty integration, the cashier will ask you to select the integration. Select Kawkab. If you have only one loyalty integration, the cashier will directly ask you to enter the reward code
  6. Ask the customer to give you the reward code
  7. Enter the reward code and click Apply
  8. If the reward is valid, the cashier app will show the reward details to the cashier user. If the reward is invalid, the cashier app will show an error message
  9. Assuming the reward is valid, the cashier user will confirm with the customer
  10. Click Redeem to apply the reward

Now the reward is applied and the customer can enjoy his reward

Customer Points Deduction

Points deduction for customers is automated by the integration Points deduction happens when a customer returns an order To return an order, follow the below steps in the cashier app:

  1. Click ORDERS
  2. Go to ALL, look for the order you want to return
  3. Click on the order
  4. Click MORE --> Return Order
  5. Select the products to be returned with their quantities
  6. Click Done

Points will be automatically deducted from the customer

How to Receive Kawkab Orders in Foodics Cashier

Kawkab Orders will be received as explained in the Accept Online Orders Article.

FAQs

Q1: Kawkab is sending orders to my restaurant but I'm not receiving them in Foodics cashier application

A: Please check the below points

1- Sign in to your Foodics account at console.foodics.com/login, then go to the Orders Page. This page will show you all API orders that are in Pending status

2- Are there any pending orders from Kawkab?

If Yes:

  • Make sure you have implemented all needed steps to receive online orders as explained in the Accept Online Orders Article
  • In the cashier app, click HOME --> Sync Data
  • Ask Swift Order to send new orders to test, orders should be received by the cashier.

If No:

  • There is an issue at Kawkab's side in sending orders to your Foodics account. Please communicate with Kawkab and inform them that there are no orders created from Kawkab in your Foodics account.
